Amber Tamblyn joins 'House'

The Hollywood Reporter -- Amber Tamblyn is joining Fox's "House." Tamblyn, the former "Joan of Arcadia" star, will play a brilliant med student who joins Dr. House's team although she's not yet certified to practice medicine. She then must deal with the ethically questionable ways that the good doctor practices medicine. The hire helps fill the void left by Olivia Wilde who's taking a break from the show while shooting her movie, "Cowboys & Aliens." The seventh season of "House" gets underway Sept. 20.
