Dog of the Week

Tyson Tyson found himself at the shelter when his owner moved to Florida and left him behind. At 8 years old, Tyson suspects it might be hard to find that forever home but, Stamford Animal Control won't let him down; we know the right person will come along for Tyson. He was a faithful companion to his previous owner and will prove the same to his next owner, if given a chance. You can help support animals like Tyson and the other pets that come into the shelter for safety by purchasing a ticket to our Pet Tail Video Awards fundraising gala to be held at the Avon Theatre on April 22. This event will benefit Outreach to Pets In Need, the shelter's supporting 501c3 non-profit organization. Submit your winning pet video before April 1 and go to www.OPINpets.org to buy your tickets or make a donation. To meet Tyson, stop by Stamford Animal Control, 201 Magee Ave. in Stamford. The shelter is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 7 days and till 7:30 on Wednesday nights. You will also find our adoptable pets on www.cityofstamford.org/animalcontrol or, for more information, call (203) 977-4437.
COMMENTING RULES: We encourage an open exchange of ideas in The Stamford Times community, but we ask you to follow our guidelines. Basically, be civil, smart, on-topic and free from profanity.
