70th Anniversary Isenbergs

Benjamin C. Isenberg and Phyllis Marcus Isenberg of Norwalk recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Feb. 21, 1940 in Norwalk. They celebrated their anniversary in New York City with family. The couple stayed at the Waldorf Astoria, attended a performance of "The Phantom of the Opera" and enjoyed a dinner in their honor at The Bull and Bear Restaurant. Benjamin Isenberg received a bachelor's degree from Teachers College of Connecticut and master's degree from Columbia University. He is a former teacher, middle school principal and assistant superintendent in Norwalk. Phyllis Isenberg received a bachelor's degree from Teachers College of Connecticut. She is a former Norwalk teacher. The couple has two children: Shelly Isenberg Horne (married to Michael Horn) of Arnold, Md., and Cathy Isenberg Kalner (married to David Kalner) of Norwalk; three grandchildren: Rebecca Horne Sepan (married to David Sepan) of Columbia, Md., Lisa Kalner Williams (married to Randolf Williams) of Winchester, Mass., and Caryn Kalner Czarnecki (married to Kevin Czarnecki) of Wilton; and two great grandchildren: Sierra rose Williams and Camryn Czarnecki.
