NORWALK -- A substitute teacher for the Greenwich Board of Education was arrested Thursday night by Norwalk Police after allegedly offering two plainclothes cops a hands-on sex education course in exchange for cash.

Barbara Marie Glynn, 50, whose last known address is 15 Ridgecrest Road, Stamford, was charged with prostitution. She was arraigned Friday and sent to an Alternative Incarceration Center for substance abuse treatment.

She was also ordered not to work with children. Her next court date was set for March 19.

Glynn allegedly approached an unmarked police vehicle that was driving at a slow rate of speed on Belle Avenue and asked the two detectives in the car if they wanted to get "freaky."

She told the officers that it would cost $100 for "everything," according to court documents.

The detectives agreed to pay her $100, and she got into the car, court documents state. She told them to take her to a vacant house near the Open Door Shelter, police said.

As they pulled into the driveway of the house, the detectives identified themselves and placed her under arrest.

Glynn told the officers that she was a substitute teacher from Stamford but also said she had recently been staying at the Open Door Shelter, according to police.

This article is a joke. The headline is very misleading. The woman lives in Stamford but works for the Greenwich School System not Stamford.
If I was the Superintendent of the Stamford Public school system I would write a complain immediately.
It''s Greenwich not Stamford that hired a hooker to teach.
