Winners announced for Stamford Art Association show
The Stamford Art Association announced the winners of its 9th annual Stanley and Vivian Reed Marine Show on Sunday, May 10 at the exhibit's opening reception.
Third Place: Brechin Morgan, of Milford, for "Oyster Boat Running up the Sound."
The show runs through June 12 at the art association's townhouse gallery, located at 39 Franklin St. in Stamford.
The show winners are as follows:
First Place: Doris Granoff Kaye, of Weston, for "Aqueduct Construction, Water For Manhattan."
Second Place: Benice Horowitz, of Stamford, for "View from Cragnair Inn, Maine."
Third Place: Brechin Morgan, of Milford, for "Oyster Boat Running up the Sound."
Honorable Mention: Richard Sabbia, of Stamford, for "Wash Day on the Quay."
Honorable Mention: Paige Miglio, of Milford, for "Victory Lap: NYC Wins 12 Meters."
The Stamford Art Association was established in 1971 as a non-profit organization for artists to exhibit their work to the public. It has eight shows a year, six of them juried.
