Exotic Snakes at SM&NC



STAMFORD — See live snakes, including an albino Burmese python and a green anaconda, up-close and personal during "Snakes of the World," an Outdoor Adventures educational program at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center on Friday, April 25.

"Snakes of the World" is an Outdoor Adventures program presented by Stamford Museum & Nature Center in partnership with Animal Embassy.

Naturalist Chris Evers of the Animal Embassy will be on hand to discuss these often-misunderstood creatures.

The program is suitable for children three years and older. Two program times are offered: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (ages 3-5) and 7 to 8 p.m. (ages 6 and older).

Pricing is as follows: members $5 and non-members $8 (parking and admission included).

The program will be held in the Stamford Museum &

Nature Center's Bendel Mansion and

will be held rain or shine.

The Animal Embassy, located on Heckscher Farm, is home to live exotic animals.

It's open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with extended summer hours until 3:30 p.m.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center's Heckscher Farm showcases more than 50 heritage breed and traditional farm animals including cows, horses, goats, sheep and pigs. Heckscher Farm, a 16-acre working educational farm, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
