Artist displays work

at Sackler Gallery





Through June 30 at the Sackler Gallery inside the Palace Theatre in Stamford, Cici Artist is displaying her art work, which celebrates musicians. The art show, called "Music & Masks: 20 Large works of Fine Art in Copper, on Canvas and Oil on Aluminum," is sponsored by the Stamford Center for Arts' (SCA) Cultural Fine Arts Program. The Stamford Chorale's

Spring Concert nears

The Stamford Chorale, will present its Spring Concert on Sunday, May 18 at 7 p.m. Conducted by Glen Clugston and accompanied by Dorothy Kolinsky, the Chorale will sing the Fauré's Requiem and other works by Fauré, Rossini, and Dvorak. Featured soloists will be Yvonne Cheng, soprano; Sarah Bleasdale, mezzo; Welder Gomez, tenor; Salvatore Basile, bass; Stephen Rapp, organ; Grace Cloutier, harp; Matius Skula, cello; and Robert Vacca, timpani. Tickets to the Spring Concert are $15, and the event will take place at St. Johns Lutheran Church at 884 Newfield Ave., Stamford. For more information, call 203-249-9072.
