Dog of the week

Chloe

Chloe is a very pretty, medium sized, 4-year-old spayed Husky/Shiba Inu mix.

Used to being part of a family, Chloe finds the shelter a very strange place. She and her canine brother lived together before their lives were turned upside down and they found themselves at the shelter.

She is looking for a new family home where she can learn to trust again.

If not adopted before May 17, Chloe and his canine friends from the shelter will be visiting the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens at 151 Brookdale Road in Stamford for the first ever Barks at The Bartlett, Dog Adoption Day. The event runs from 11 to 2 p.m. There will be live music, a bake sale, a flea market and the lovely Bartlett grounds to enjoy.

The Stamford Animal Control shelter is located at 201 Magee Avenue in Stamford. The shelter is open from 8 to 4 p.m., seven days a week, and until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.

You can also find the shelter's adoptable pets on www.cityofstamford.org or call 203-977-4437 for more information.
