STAMFORD Cushman & Wakefield announced last week that the PAREXEL International Corporation, a leading global bio/pharmaceutical services organization, has leased 13,034 square feet of office space at 750 East Main Street, a 103,000-square-foot office property in downtown Stamford.
PAREXEL signed a seven year lease and will occupy space on the sixth floor of the 11-story Class-A building. The company will relocate in September from 181 Harbor Drive in Stamford. PAREXEL is the second company to join the tenant roster of the completely renovated office property.
The redesign of 750 East Main Street has included a fully remodeled lobby that features nine 60-inch televisions and a 50-foot back-lit glass panel, a new café, upgraded elevator cabs and common areas, Wi-Fi connectivity, a new fitness center, totally renovated bathrooms, and an outdoor patio and picnic area.
There are approximately 75,000 square feet available for immediate occupancy.
High Ridge Park awarded regional TOBY award
from BOMA
STAMFORD High Ridge Park Corporate Center in Stamford has been named a regional TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) award-winner by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
In October 2007, High Ridge Park Corporate Center had also received the local TOBY award by Southern Connecticut BOMA in the category of "Low Rise Suburban Office Park," which groups office properties outside the central business district, containing two or more buildings, one to five stories high, on more than five acres. High Ridge Park Corporate Center contains six buildings totaling 583,000 square feet of Class-A office space on 40 acres off High Ridge Road. Following that achievement, the park entered into the regional level of the competition in the same category. BOMA's Middle Atlantic Region consists of the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, as well as the metropolitan areas of Washington, D.C. and Virginia.
The TOBY award recognizes excellence in office building management, operation efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact.
Thompson director to offer insights on company's recent acquisition of Reuters
STAMFORD The Fairfield County Public Relations Association (FCPRA) will continues its "Best Practices Series" with a presentation on Wednesday, May 21 by Fred Hawrysh, Global Director, Corporate Affairs at Thomson Corporation.
Hawrysh will offer an insider's view of the public relations challenges presented by one of the largest acquisitions of recent years Thomson's recently completed acquisition of Reuters. The newly combined company, Thomson Reuters, is the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals.
Hawrysh will discuss how the company is managing the massive rebranding of the combined information and news organizations with very different cultures.
The FCPRA program which will take place at Thomson Corporation's Metro Center, One Station Place, Stamford starts with a dinner and networking at 6:30 PM, and the presentatuin begins at 7 p.m.
