Dog of the week

Coco

Typical of her Lab breed, Coco is playful and a bundle of energy.

Friendly and inquisitive and still very much a puppy, Coco is a beautiful 8-month

old Chocolate Lab who, with some basic training, will prove to be a shining star. We here atthe Stamford Animal Shelter want to find Coco a nice home.

She is welcome to join the shelter's free dog training class, which is offered to the public every Wednesday night.

The Stamford Animal Control shelter is overflowing with dogs looking for homes, so, if Coco doesn't sound quite right, consider adopting one of the shelter's many, many other dogs and cats available for adoption.

The shelter is located at 201 Magee Ave. in Stamford. The shelter is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week, and until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights.

You can also find the shelter's adoptable pets on www.cityofstamford.org or call 977-4437 for more information.
