Gay Michele Whittington
Formerly of Norwalk
Gay Michele (Mahoney) Whittington, 74, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on February 2, 2012 at Copper Cottage Hospice House in Mesa, AZ. Gay was born on December 20, 1937 in Norwalk, Connecticut, the daughter of late Richard (Leo) and Wilma Mahoney. She attended school in Norwalk, CT. Gay moved to AZ in the 70s and spent many years as a Secretary within the retail industry. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, reading Nora Roberts books, doing crossword puzzles and playing cards and bingo with her friends.
Gay is survived by her daughter, Jolie Fields of AZ; two beautiful grandchildren Mackenzie and Coleman Fields of AZ; a sister Pat VandenAmeele of DE; a brother Mark Mahoney of CT; a brother Brian Mahoney of CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Whittington and her parents.
A private family service will be held for Gay at a later date. Interment will take place in Valley of the Sun Cemetery in Chandler, AZ.

Richard V. Williams
Westport Resident
Richard V. Williams, age 78 of Westport, died on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his home. Born in Chicago, IL, the son of Vincent and Cecilia (Thorne) Williams, he was a graduate of Notre Dame University. After attending Columbia Law School he went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Finance from New York University. He worked as a Financial Systems Analyst for the Olin Corporation. An avid fisherman and outdoorsman, Richard also enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by two sons; Kevin Williams and his fiancée Andrea Cronin of Norwalk, and Matthew and his wife Karla Wheeler Williams of Manhattan, the mother of his children, Audrey Anderson Williams of Westport, and a sister Judith Krut of Myrtle Beach, NC. He was predeceased by his children Carl A. Williams and Stacey M. Williams.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday February 9, at Assumption Church, Westport, with burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Greens Farms Rd, Westport. For directions or online guestbook, please go to: Magnerfuneralhome.com
